Anambra election: Obi, Obaze, Ezeemo lose their LGAS

FORMER Governor Peter Obi, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Mr Oseloka Obaze and the candidate of the Progressives Peoples Alliance, PPA, Mr Godwin Ezeemo lost their local governments to the incumbent governor and candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Willie Obiano in the governorship election held on Saturday.

APGA polled 11237 votes in Obi’s Anaocha local government where the former Governor, party, PDP scored 6554.

Obaze, the candidate of PDP also lost his Ogbaru local government area to Obiano who scored 6615 votes to Obaze’s 4416 votes.

Similarly, Obiano defeated Ezeemo in his Aguata Local government by scoring 13167 against Ezeemo’s1289.

Results from 10 local government areas have so far been declared and Obiano won in all of them.

Eleven local governments are yet to be declared.
