Tottenham striker Harry Kane has won the Premier League player of the month award for a stunning September.

Having once again drawn a blank in August, Kane hit an outstanding run of form bagging 13 goals for club and country in September, six of which came in the Premier League.

After opening his account for the season while on international duty, Kane returned to Premier League action with a brace in a 3-0 win at Everton – scoring his first Spurs goal of the season from a cross.

Kane joins Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie as the only players to have won the honour five times, while Steven Gerrard is ahead on six.
