Uyo: Super Eagles striker, Orion Ighalo has said he prefers not to score against Zambia as long as Nigeria qualifies for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Saturday
Speaking to scores of reporters yesterday at their Ibom Five Star, the former Watford of England goal merchant said his objective in tomorrow’s crunch game was not to score as he did against Cameroon but help the team pick the World Cup ticket with a game to spare.
“I am not thinking about scoring against Zambia. Far from it. All I am concerned about is to help the team qualify for the next World Cup.
“ It’s not like I don’t want to score but if my scoring will not qualify us for the World Cup, then let the goals not come from me. It’s not about my goals but about the team’s success”, added Ighalo who now plays pro in China.
