Paramount Ruler of Ibeno Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom State, HRM Owong Effiong Archianga, has officially assumed office as National Chairman of Traditional Rulers of Oil Mineral Producing Communities of Nigeria, TROMPCON, with a promise to run an open and all-inclusive administration.
According to a statement in Uyo, Archianga made the promise after taking over at TROMPCON’s National Secretariat in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State.
Owong Archianga also promised to create and sustain the progressive policies of TROMPCON and solicited the support of all members to enable him succeed.
Also speaking after the official handing over ceremony, the immediate past National Chairman of TROMPCON, Eze Ikegwuruka, described his successor as a worthy and competent leader.
He urged the incoming executive not to relent in already established efforts towards the development of Niger Delta region, through collaboration with Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC.
