THE Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, The Pointer chapel, has been assured of a robust relationship with the Board of Directors of the Delta Printing and Publishing Company, Publisher of Pointer titles.

Giving the assurance during a courtesy visit of the union’s executive, led by the Union’s Chair-man, Sunday Egede, Chairman, Board of Directors of the company, Dr. David Oghenekevwe, congratulated the new executive members of the union on their successful and peaceful election.

Mr. Egede had earlier, among others, drew the Board’s attention to some of the challenges facing the union, which he said included non-payment of editorial claims to journalists, work load, occasioned by gradual depletion of the workforce and the need to create additional units in the editorial department

Responding, Oghenekevwe pledged that the board was more than ever before ready to work with the union with a view to sustaining the peaceful and progressive environment existing in the company.
