In a statement released to Vanguard by two of its leaders, Gen. Tony Alagbakereowei and Commander Ebi Abakoromor, the group said, “We were surprised to see our name in the media among other agitators, as having given breakaway PNDPC, spearheaded by HRM Charles Ayemi Botu, Paramount Ruler of Seimbiri Kingdom, Delta state, the mandate to parley with federal government on our behalf.

“We never gave any mandate to Ayemi-Botu or this sudden PNDPC. We cannot be in the creeks fighting for the common good while self-serving few will be  complicating relations between federal government and our region.”

The group said their mandate rest with the Ijaw Youth Council national president, Eric Omare, Bossman Abodideke, Moses Gbafade, Duncan Warejuowei and Junior Mac Joel to parley with the federal government on their behalf.
