Dele Ajiboye has vowed that the Eagles will be fired up to beat hosts Ghana in a final WAFU Cup Group A clash to advance to the semi-finals of the sub-regional tournament.
Nigeria are hard pressed to get a result today against an already-qualifed home team after they could only manage two draws thus far.
Mali or Guinea could advance from Group A if they win their last group games and Nigeria fail to beat Ghana.
The Eagles face Ghana in Cape Coast, while Mali tackle Guinea in Indom with both games kicking off at the same time, 7pm Nigerian time.
“The whole team are disappointed we could not beat Guinea and we know Nigerians are also not happy, but we still hope to give everything to beat Ghana and qualify for the next round of the competition,” the Plateau United No 1 said.
“Ghana and Nigeria play almost the same style unlike Mali and Guinea. I believe we have a good chance today. “We only have to be at our best and be determined and we will win.”
