Dufil partners LEARN on Free Summer School initiative

IN its renewed effort to positively impact the nation’s education sector, Dufil Prima Foods Plc, makers of Indomie Instant Noodles, has once again partnered with the Lagos Empowerment and Resource Network (LEARN), an initiative of former Lagos State First Lady, Dame Emmanuella Abimbola Fashola on its free summer school initiative with cash and educational materials.

The 10 years strong and longstanding partnership with LEARN was in line with Dufil support for activities that build, empower and keep the nation’s youngsters positively busy. Speaking during the presentation of education materials and cash donation at LEARN office in Surulere Lagos, the Group Public Relations and Events Manager, Dufil Prima Foods, Mr. Tope Ashiwaju, said “it has always been part of the main thrust of our company placing high priority on educational development of the Nigerian child with a strong belief that a quality academic opportunity should not elude them.

“As a brand, Indomie is well known as one of the foremost brands with immense contributions to the development of education at all levels. We are committed to it because quality education is a legacy we owe our children because children are the future of tomorrow. As children, you should be the change you want to see because only you can determine the path you want to chart for yourself as the sky is just the beginning for you.” He charged the students to place high priority on education.

Project Manager LEARN, Mrs. Aderonke Oguntoyinbo commended Dufil Prima Foods for their unwavering commitment towards the LEARN initiative which she described as very strategic and very helpful as the pupils can now concentrate on their studies with ease.

“This partnership has brought excitement on the face of the children having been assured of free lunch during the summer holiday lessons with study materials, and this in a way will help them concentrate on what they are being taught.” said Oguntoyinbo.

Showing appreciation on behalf of the student of LEARN to Dufil Prima foods Plc for its support over the past nine years, Master Sulaimon Jamiu called on Dufil Prima Foods Plc not to relent on its effort in ensuring that children across the state is giving an opportunity in having a good and sound education.
