The drivers and workers’ union equally assured Governor Obiano of blocs of votes from its colleagues in the various local governments of the state, saying Obiano must be voted back to continue the good work of development that he has started in the state.

The union gave the pledge during a solidarity visit to Governor Obiano at his Campaign Organisation’s office on Wednesday.

The workers and drivers were led on the visit by both the union’s Chairman and Grand Patron, Chief Godwin Ochie and Chief Omenife izuegbu respectively.

They were received by the Special Adviser on political matters to the Governor, Hon. Chinedu Obidigwe, and the DG of Governor Obiano’s campaign organization, Chief Sir Victor Umeh with other members of the campaign team.

In his address, Chairman of the group, Chief Ochie said the reason behind their visit was to assure the Governor of their support and to let the Governor know that the members of the union have started mobilizing electorates within Omambala axis, Oyi Local government, Anambra east LGA, Anambra west and Ayamelum,  to vote for him on November 18th.

He promised equally that the association will do everything humanly possible to secure tremendous vote in the region.

However, Hon Chinedu Obidigwe, in his speech, expressed gratitude for their visitation, loyalty and support to the governor, noting that Obiano’s good work remains his selling point.

“The good works of the Governor in Anambra State remains his selling point and that it is only a blind man that will say that the Governor is not working”, he said.

He commended the leadership of Omambala drivers and park workers union for mobilizing themselves and charged them to ensure that the Governor secures a landslide victory in Omambala.

Speaking also, Chief Sir Victor Umeh said that Governor Obiano’s merited 2nd term in office bid is a divine sealed deal that cannot be thwarted by any human.

Ume said that Obiano’s opponents have nothing good to offer the people of the State except directionless and clueless leadership.

He described Governor Obiano as a good product that markets itself and said that the people of the State will not make the mistake of voting for those that will take the State backward.

He further stated that the choice before the people of the State, is the choice of moving forward or backward. Obiano is forward ever and backward never thus stands the reason why they will vote for him coming November 18th for a progressive state.

He thanked the members of the union on behalf of the Governor for their support.

Chief Omenife Izuegbu, in his remarks, stated categorically that he is from Anambra South but supports Omambala drivers and park workers union, noting that his effervescent reasons rest on the flamboyant desire for Governor Obiano to be returned to office to continue with his good works in Anambra State.
