Ibadan—THE ace broadcaster and custodian of Yoruba culture, Alagba Adebayo Faleti, who died some weeks ago was quoted as saying before his death, that he had forgiven a woman and two of his children who offended him.
This was disclosed by a clergyman, Revd Diti Ambolu, Pastor of the Salem Baptist Church, Yemetu Aladorin, Ibadan, who delivered the sermon at Faleti’s commendation service in Ibadan yesterday.
The cleric, who said he prayed for the deceased two weeks before his death also told the congregation that the late actor, who died at 95, confided in him that he did not belong to any cult group.
Revd Ambolu said; “Baba asked me what was left for him to make heaven after he had accepted Jesus as his Lord and Saviour, and I asked him if he had any grudge with anybody.
He said; ‘’I have forgiven a woman who offended me in life. I have also forgiven two of my children’’ and in my presence, he called them and blessed them.”
The commendation service was attended by Nollywood artistes like Dele Odule, Toyin Adegbola, Rose Odika, politicians and several others.
