Owerri—Barring any unforseen circumstance, the 36 speakers of state Houses of Assembly, will tomorrow converge in Imo state, to decide on some of the controversial issues facing the country.
The majority leader of the Imo state House of Assembly, Mr. Lugard Osuji, yesterday, confirmed this to Vanguard in Owerri.
Investigations by ,Vanguard, revealed that the event which was tagged special session would among other issues deliberate and take a decisive stand on the issue of Nigeria’s unity.
Also to be discussed was the plethora of challenges causing underdevelopment in Nigeria, as well as the agitations by pro Biafra supporters. The issue of hate speech would also be discussed.
The speaker of Imo state House of Assembly, Mr Acho Ihim, said: We are going to talk about the very prevalent and precarious situation Nigeria finds itself, emanating from all parts of Nigeria, including the issues of kidnappings and killings.”
