NOGP hails FG on new petroleum policy, restructuring in sector

A Non Governmental Organisation,  Nigerian Oil and Gas Professionals, NOGP, has hailed the Federal Government for approving a new petroleum policy, and the restructuring of the Nigerian Petroleum Investment Management Services Limited, NAPIMS, and Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR, to make them more efficient and rid the sector of corruption.

A statement issued by its spokesperson and Director of Projects, Dr. Bestow Menejie, urged  the Federal Government to extend the reform to other agencies like the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board, NCDMB, to increase  competitiveness and direct investments in the sector.

According to Menejie, “the Nigerian Oil and Gas Professionals lauded and praised the foresightedness of President  Muhammadu Buhari’s administration in ensuring that there are no sacred cows in the fight against corruption.
