GOVERNORSHIP candidate of Progressives Peoples’ Alliance, PPA, Mr. Godwin Ezeemo has dismissed the zoning arrangement being canvassed by Anambra State branch of Ohaneze Ndigbo, insisting that there was no zoning arrangement in the state.
Ezeemo, who is from Anambra South senatorial zone, argued that if such arrangement should ever come up, it should start with the South senatorial zone and not from the North.

According to him, the fact that the former governor, Dr Chinwoke Mbadinuju from the south, who governed the state from 1999-2003, did only one term before Anambra Central took over and did eleven years, showed that the injustice meted against South had not been corrected till date.
The PPA candidate, said ceding the position to the North because of the incumbent governor was unacceptable to him and the people of Southern zone, adding that it was improper to start arguing about zoning at this time of the campaign. Ezeemo said: “This is not the right time for anybody to start talking about zoning arrangement which had never existed in the political lexicon of the state. The arrangement by Ohanaeze or whoever muted the idea in the first place, is faulty. If we want zoning, there must be a forum to talk about it”.
