GOVERNOR Godwin Obaseki says it is not healthy for Edo State to take domestic and foreign loans for now unless interest rate goes down.
Speaking in Abuja during a congratulatory visit to the new Director- General, DMO, Mrs. Patience Oniha, Obaseki, who noted that Edo had no money to service debt, said Nigeria was facing hard times just as he said his government was practicing good governance and accountability.
“In the case of Edo, we are trying to practice what we preach. Good governance. Make sure the state is grounded in good governance and accountable to the people. We are blessed and we are the heartbeat of the nation. You can imagine what will happen if you remove the heart,”he added.
