…Launches We Care Programme

Irked by the country’s low life expectancy, management of Me Cure Healthcare Limited is advocating preventive health care among Nigerians as the only panacea to increase the country’s life expectancy.

At a media presentation of its preventive health care package: “We Care Program” designed to assist low – income Nigerians access first-hand medical diagnosis and treatment, the Chairman of Me Cure Healthcare Limited, Mr. Samir Udani said negligence and self-medication are major causes of Africa’s low life expectancy.

Jide Fadirepo (rtd), MeCure, Oshodi, and Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Alabi Adegboyega, during the launch of the Me Cure, We Care Program in Lagos last week.

Udani observed that people in developing countries live average age of 52 as against those in the developed countries whose life expectancy is 79.

He said the We Care Program, which quantifies health, is in two stages, including screening, detection, and treatment of non-communicable diseases.

Udani who said it was their way of giving back to  society said with N19, 900, an individual would get  about 61 investigations which ordinarily would have caused N49, 100.

“The health programme captures 61 health investigations. It reveals symptoms of any health conditions, enabling people to be aware and then receive medications from qualified medical professionals as well as drugs for maintenance.

” What we have done is to design a programme to tell you what the problems are by colour code, it screens for lifestyle diseases using health meters and also makes referrals to medical professionals if need be and at the same time makes provision for 87 different supplement drugs at no cost. What we do is to enable those with little income get the right healthcare at their convenience without going to a medical facility, which would cost them much.”

On how to sign into the programme, he explained that individual is to sign in through its web site, www.wecare.mecure.com.  Android and IOS apps are also available for download. A person can also work into any Me Cure centre to register.

“An individual after the result is out will also receive drugs worth same amount free of charge. We Care Program is purely a lifestyle wellness programme for adults. We are diagnosing illnesses that do not have symptoms, including stress because it kills, “Udani added.
