WIFE of the late Ikemba Nnewi, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, Mrs. Bianca Ojukwu, has told youths in the state that they have a major role to play in the re-election of Governor Willie Obiano.
Mrs. Odumegwu Ojukwu spoke, weekend, when she inaugurated the youth wing of ‘Stakeholders for Willie Obiano Second Tenure.”
Youths numbering over 3,500 from the three senatorial zones in Anambra State were inaugurated into the campaign group for the APGA governorship hopeful.
National Coordinator of Stakeholders for Willie Obiano Second Tenure, Chief Ekene Enefe while addressing the people during the inauguration at Prof. Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre, explained that the group was inaugurated in 2016 to move round all the 179 communities in Anambra State to gather support for Governor Obiano’s re-election bid.
He said they have been holding town hall meetings to sensitize the people of the State, adding that the “Governor had even directed that all the State Commissioners of the Ministries in the state will start attending the town hall meetings to ensure that the re-election bid becomes a collective effort.
“We have even appointed the coordinators in all the communities in the State for effective mobilization of the Anambra people and assured that nobody would steal votes this time around.”
Also speaking during the inauguration, National Youth Coordinator, Hon. Nnamso Nwafor-Orizu said that among major reasons the youths had decided to return Governor Obiano for second tenure was that his administration has become the first in entire Nigeria to engage over fifty-five percent of the young people as political appointees.
