Okowa’s strategy of curbing insurgency yielding result — Miebi

Warri—Chairman, Delta State Advocacy Committee Against Oil Facilities’ Vandalisation, Alaowei Balakumo Miebi,  has said Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s strategy of curbing destructions of oil facilities by militants in the state has started yielding results with the increment in oil prices and production across Niger Delta.

Miebi, who spoke to journalists, yesterday, in Warri, Delta State, described Okowa as a man endowed with a lot of prowess to develop the state.

He added that the governor’s SMART agenda, which include empowerment of youths through various skills acquisition programmes, completed and ongoing road projects, among others has really bettered the lives of Deltans.

He stated further that the governor’s strategies in curbing destructions of oil facilities by militants in the state had started yielding results with the rise in oil prices and production across the Niger Delta.

He said: “It is only in a peaceful atmosphere that foreigners can come into our state to invest, hence we the people of Warri North Local Government Area have resolved to protect facilities of international oil companies in our area.”
