DUTSE—Nigerian Shippers Council, NSC, has identified lack of basic knowledge of international trade terms and understanding as the major impediment bedevilling the council.

The North-West Zonal Coordinator of the council, Mrs Karimatu Othman, said this at a one-day seminar in Dutse on Understanding Basic International Trade Terms and Complaints Redress Mechanism In Import/Export.

Also speaking, Director, Inland Transport Services, represented by Murtala Abdussalam, said exporters and importers incur losses due to inadequate knowledge and understan-ding of certain principles.
