lagos—In a bid to ease the mode of doing business in Nigeria, the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria, ICSAN has  concluded plans to hold its 2017 public practice day.

In a release signed by Nkechi Oyenso, Chief Executive of the Institute “All is set to hold the Public Practice Day for Chartered Secretaries, Company Secretaries, Lawyers and Administrators, which theme is: “Ease of Doing Business in Nigeria” at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, LCCI, Conference Centre, Business District, Alausa, Lagos on Thursday, July 27, 2017.

According to the release: “Against the background of Nigeria being ranked as 169 among 190 economies in the ease of doing business, by the latest World Bank annual ratings. The rating would make it difficult to exploit her status as the African largest economy to the fullest advantage.

She stressed that in order to improve the ease of doing business in Nigeria and attract foreign investments, the Federal Government has inaugurated the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC), which has recently produced the National Action Plan on Ease of Doing Business in Nigeria.

“Ease of doing business is a cardinal focus of the Federal Government’s Economic Recovery agenda, tagged Economic Recovery and Growth Plan,(ERGP), which was unveiled on7th March, 2017 by the Ministry of Budget and National Planning.”
