A teaching programme, tagged: Visual Identity, for young Nigerian photographers who are interested in developing their skills and careers will hold at CCA – Centre for Contemporary Art in Yaba, Lagos, from July 24 to 28.

The training, organised by FotoFactory.Lagos, covers conceptual project-based thinking through sequences of lectures and critiques. FotoFactory.Lagos is founded and developed by Eva Maria Ocherbauer and Sylvester Okwunodu Ogbechie, who are facilitating the workshop alongside Andrew Esiebo, all acclaimed international photographers.

Students will be trained on how to gain a conscious and intuitive understanding of the visual language of photography, develop a personal signature, foster ideas on contemporary visual practice and the process of editing towards the production of a consistent and compelling narrative.
