UGHELLI— IMMEDIATE past governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, has continued his verbal onslaught on Prof. Patrick Utomi and his All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state, saying  that he (Uduaghan) contested several years with Chief Peter Okocha of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN and Chief Great Ogboru of the Democratic Peoples Party, DPP, without “exchanging words.”

Utomi, in a statement, had asked Uduaghan to give account of the N20 billion expended on the Independent Power Project, IPP, Oghara, in response to Uduaghan’s call on him to start his political aspiration from the councillorship level.

Taking the debate to his Facebook page, Uduaghan, who spoke in the local pidgin parlance, said: “I contest against Ogboru and Okocha for several years, we no exchange words. Make una face how una go fit win election for ground.

“Who say na me e dey find, go 1st learn how to close door against smoke. I no wan be governor again. Wen time for debate come we go do am. You know say I nor dey run from debate.”

Meanwhile, chairman, Delta State APC Elders Forum, Chief Hyacinth Enuha, has described the face-off between Utomi and Uduaghan as a healthy development for Delta State.

Enuha, in a statement by his media assistant, Mr. Nnamdi Ofonye, yesterday, explained that the war of words between the two has reawakened the consciousness of Deltans in unravelling many hidden facts in the public domain,  adding that it was important that the issues raised by Utomi were given serious attention.
