WARRI—CAPITOL Hill Hospital, Warri, has received the ISO 9001:2015 QMS certification from Interconformity Assessment and Certification for its outstanding contribution to the health sector with a vow to maintain and improve its quality of service.
In his remark at the event held at the hospital, Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Luckys Oparanyote, described the hospital as a patient centered establishment for the benefit of its patients.
He said: “We have worked together in improving and maintaining our services in line with quality management system and clinical governance on rendering patient centered treatment, quality health care and efficiency anchored on equity and justice.”
“We will continue to maintain this standard in line with the terms and conditions attached to this certification.”
Speaking to newsmen on what the hospital stands to achieve from the certification, the consultant in charge of the certification process, Aribodor Churchill, said: “ISO 9001 being the global standard for quality, the hospital stands to benefit a lot from this certification in terms of managing risk, improving clinical and administrative processes and putting structures in place that would enable them deliver quality services to their customer.
“What the hospital has done is to implement the requirements of this latest quality standard within the organisation and establish a complete culture change to enable them render quality healthcare service to their numerous clients and patients.”
