lagos—Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos state, has restated the need to train Directors in the state’s 28 Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs, saying this is paramount to his administration in the strive to develop the state’s civil service.

Ambode, who was represented by the Commissioner for Establishment, Training and Pensions, Dr. Akintola Benson-Oke, at a 2-day workshop tagged: Effective strategic management for repositioning and higher responsibilities, said the 200 Directors selected for the training cut across the 28 ministries, parastatals and agencies.
He told the trainees that he was delighted the was delivered as scheduled, adding that it would bring enormous value associated with knowledge and skills training to bear on the attainment of the strategic objectives of the government and the public service of Lagos as envisaged by the administration.
According to him: “Lagos State is having this training to re-strategies its workforce.’’
