Benue govt accuses Tsav of partisanship

By Peter Duru

MAKURDI—Benue State government has called on the Federal Commissioner representing the state at the Public Complaints Commission, Alhaji Abubakar Tsav, to resign over what it said were partisan activities.

Alhaji Tsav has, however, dismissed the call, describing it as misplaced.

Addressing reporters in Makurdi, the Special Adviser to Benue State Governor on Media and ICT, Mr. Tahav Agerzua, stated that the retired police commissioner had abdicated his responsibilities to the people of the state.

Reacting, Alhaji Tsav said: “If those who appointed me find me unsuitable, they should remove me and certainly not the state government.

“As long as public officers do wrong things, I will criticise them. I criticised former President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan. I also criticise and commend President Buhari.”
