Beauty Queen, Chizoba Ejike was the able host at the Anambra Charity concert which held in Akwa, Anambra State, recently. The charity concert which was the third edition was themed, ‘Be Bold’, and it was aimed at creating awareness on gender inequality.

“Chizoba Ejike who won the maiden edition of the 2014 Miss Independence Anambra Pageant and 2015, MBGN Runner Up/Miss Tourism at the event disclosed that gender inequality does not only affect women but also cripples our economy.“”World Economic Forum estimated that sub Sahara Africa loses an annual sum of 96 million US dollars economically, because women are not allowed to contribute,” she highlighted.“She also threw light on the effect of violence and how all could work towards achieving sustainable development goals. “
“We have worked with Her Excellency Chief Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano who is our mother of the day,the Ministry for Women Affairs and Honorable Commissioner for Education, to achieve this great feat,” she added.“About 20 orphanages, 10 secondary schools and 3 major universities in Anambra State came to be part of the movement. Gift items were distributed to the orphanage homes, prizes and honourary awards were awarded to school teachers, students and other philanthropists for their commitments.
