Following the agitation by separatist agitators for Biafra, an educationist and business mogul, Dr. Ramon Adegoke Adedoyin, has proposed what he described as “The Nigeria Empirical Formula 2017” as the way out.

He believes that “with this formular, Nigeria will not break”. Adedoyin, in a statement made available to Sunday Vanguard, proposed that Nigeria should be divided into six zones with  another name for the country,”United Regions in Nigeria”.

He explained that since we already have six regions, the regions should be called “South Western Nigeria, South Eastern Nigeria,South Southern Nigeria,North Eastern Nigeria,North Northern Nigeria and North Western Nigeria”.

The Maye of Ife added: “Let each region stay on her own but donate between 1% to 5% to the top (i.e the presidency).

“Let a president emerge from one of the six regions without having any business with the six regions other than ceremonial”.

He wants each region to have its own Vice-president and serve one term of five years. The educationist proposed that each region should produce a president per year which implies that there will be six presidents in six years.
