Security operatives of Lagos State Police Command demolishing criminal hideouts in Ishawo, Ikorodu, on Wednesday, April 19, 2017.
The discovery was made yesterday by a team of Special Anti – Robbery Squad (SARS) in Ikorodu and Volunteer Policemen led by Superintendent Godfrey Soriweiu, during the command’s continued raid of the Ishawo creeks , with a view to dislodging kidnappers suspected to be from Orogbo area of Ondo state.
The raid came on the heels of the recent killing of four policemen , an Army Captain and two residents of Yewa Ishawo , who were on a mission to rescue residents who were being abducted by militants.
Recall that a similar discovery was made two week ago in the same area, where some suspected kidnappers were said to have been preparing breakfast. But they fled in different directions on sighting the special team, abandoning several items among which were their speed boats.
The command boss, Fatai Owoseni who vowed that the command would do all within its reach to ensure that killers of the security agents were brought to book said the onslaught would continue until creeks around Ikorodu axis were rid of kidnappers.
