THE word moving from insignifiance to signifiance means moving from disgrace to grace or moving from shame to fame. The birth of Jesus is a typical example of a man that came from nowhere but ended up somewhere.
The bible recorded that Jesus was born in a manger i.e. he was born like a man in abject poverty, but he rose up to be a man with a seamless cloth.
I will like to encourage every believer that there is no one that cannot be great if only you can work for it. Remember the adage; “what you desire is what you become in life”.
There are some wisdom secrets we need to learn from the story of Jesus. In every journey in life there are certain things that need to be done for you to succeed. He was not born in a hospital neither was heborn with a golden spoon, but he rose to become the savior of the world.
Where you are born is not a determinant factor of what you’ll become in life. instead your decisions and desire will determines your position on earth. You can be a product of mistake but you are not a mistake. No matter how you come, you can make it from a nobody to somebody.
You might not have the power to change your past but you have the power to determine your present and future. It is obvious that your background may be below average, but God want you to move to a higher ground. Don’t bother yourself about your past, all you need is to try to reach for the top.
Your background does not have anything to do with what you can become in life as long as you can bury your pride, humble yourself before men and God.
In Ezekiel 28:12-19, the bible emphasized on how Lucifer was created with beauty and glory, he was perfect in all his ways until iniquity (pride) was found in him. When you are proud you will drown as stated in Isaiah 14:12-13: “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of morning! How art thou cast down to the ground, which didst weaken the nation! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God, I will sit also above the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north.
These thoughts were running in the heart of Lucifer, he has not even executed it. Do not act in pride.
What you think in your heart speaks volumes of whom you are on earth. God judges us from our inside not from our outside. Your outward appearance can be humble while pride is in your inward mind. Pride brings a man down. Every proud and arrogant man is an abomination to God. The bible says God hates the pride and he gives grace to the humble.
Humility is the hallmark of life.
“No matter the gifts, potentials, positions, talents and experience you have, you must still be humble. When you are proud God will withdraw his coverage over you. A man with a humble heart will rise from nothing to something, but a proud man will fall from grace to grass.
People naturally fall from grace to grass, because of the way they handle God’s business and even their relationship with God. Never allow your success or achievement in life drive you away from God’s presence. Pride has brought evil to people’s life. It is better you destroy pride before it destroys you.
In the book of Acts 12:21-22, the bible says: “And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them. And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man. The bible recorded that Herod arrayed himself of royal appareal. Herod must have thought in his heart that he is God. Every priviledged position that God has placed you, you must be careful.
Every grace or gift given to you by God is not for you to see yourself as if nobody is like you. See it as a priviledge. The moment you begin to see yourself as if nobody is like you or can do it like you, not only will God replace you; He will even raise up someone that will do it better than you have ever done. It is better you deal with the devil of pride when you are nothing, because by the time you rise up to the top you may not be able to deal with the pride.
It is not difficult to rise to the top but it is difficult to remain on top. One of the key weapons that the devil uses to bring a man down from his top position is pride.
Herod the king fell from grace to grass because he was listening to the oration of men. When men celebrate you, it is an avenue to destroy you when you are carried away by their oration, but when you are celebrated by God, the whole world will celebrate you. It is your anointing that will take you to the top, but it is your character that will sustain you on top. When King Herod was speaking, his people exalted him as God; you must be careful when people give you an unusual oration. You must watch out when people hail you, that may bring about your downfall.
No matter the position you have been placed by priviledge, you must be careful, see it that God placed you there and if you misuse the position he will replace you within a second. Remember it takes years to build a fortune, it only takes seconds to destroy what you built. It takes years to build your reputation, but it only takes you seconds to destroy it.
Joseph rose from a place of insignifiance to a place of relevance in life because of humility. In all the journey of Joseph he remained humble and ended becoming a ruler in a foreign land.
It is your attitude that determines your ultitude in life.
Christains, learn to be humble in every position you happen to find yourself in life. Pride goes before a fall. Watch that gift, be careful with your position, it may slip you to destruction. You shall not be destroyed IJMN.
