Members of Holy Spirit Mission Church (The Happy Family Home) Akowonjo, Lagos took the Gospel of Good Friday to the streets of Shasha, where they fed hundreds of people.
Bishop Charles Ighele, General Superintendent of the church, encouraged people to draw closer to God despite the hardship in the country.
He talked about accepting Jesus because of the sacrifice he made for mankind.
Ighele said: “We have come today to say that Jesus is alive and he loves the whole world, so anybody who accepts him wholeheartedly will indeed be set free. Life is a journey and that journey cannot last longer than 150 years. It is supposed to be a one-way journey. Every human being is supposed to know where he is going but for the sin of the first Adam. For this reason, everybody who has been born since then has been born to disobey. Even a child is disobedient from birth. But God sent another Adam in the form of man to redeem all.’’
