Mr Pius Dashe, Chief Administration Officer, Plateau Government House, Jos is dead.
According to Mr Emmanuel Nanle, Director of Press Affairs, Dashe died on Thursday, after a brief illness.
His death came less than one month after the demise of the Deputy Chief of Staff, Alhaji Yusuf Hawaja, who died on Feb. 19.
Hawaja’mother, Habiba, died six days after her son.
Gov. Simon Lalong, who paid a condolence visit to the deceased’s family house in Jos, described Dashe’s death as “very shocking and most unfortunate”.
Lalong, who was represented by the Chief of Staff, Chief John Dafa’an, said that the deceased died when his services were most needed.
“He was a very fine officer and will be remembered for his diligence, simplicity and courage.
“As mortals, we always love to have our loved ones around, but we can’t question God’s decision,” he said.
Mr Toma Dalok, Permanent Member I, Civil Service Commission, who responded on behalf of the family, thanked the governor for the show of love and solidarity.
“The entire staff of government house are here to commiserate with us; it shows that Dashe lived well,” he said.
