ONITSHA — As the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, government in Anambra State celebrates three years in office tomorrow, Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Professor Solomon Chukwudobelu, has said Governor Willie Obiano deserves a second term on ground of his outstanding achievements.
Speaking with Vanguard in his office, Chukwudobelu said the governor had carved a niche for himself when compared with previous governments from 1999 to the time he assumed office.
He listed security, agriculture, roads, education, industrialization among others as important sectors the government had tackled head-on since he came into office.
He said: “The issue of security is paramount in any society and governance. The governor achieved this within the first six months in office. Before now, the people of Anambra were not only physically under siege but mentally under siege. But today, Ndi Anambra can now sleep with their two eyes closed.”
Besides, he said the Obiano government had liberated the people who, as a result, now have confidence and self pride, adding that the state anthem says it all.
He said: “This administration has enabled the people and created enabling environment for people to go about their normal businesses as well as creating room for both local and foreign investors to come into the state.”
Chukwudobelu berated politicians that have busied themselves with subjective criticism of the Obiano government, boasting that the good jobs done so far by the incumbent governor was there for the people to see.
