BENIN—AS part of its corporate responsibilities to community where its business is located, Kada Cinemas Centre, KCC, in Benin, Edo State, yesterday, offered free eye test, diabetic test among others to people from the community.
Managing Director, KADA, Mr. Trevor Pillay, said that it was a gesture from the company to ensure that the people enjoyed good state of health, adding that during the five-day free medical exercise which commenced on Monday at its head office, on Sapele Road, Benin, the company will ensure that the people were tested and offered free medical advice.
He said that it was part of the company’s duty to cater for its staff, customers and the people living in the state to enable them enjoy a meaningful life, just as he promised to sustain the exercise.
Advancing reasons why Kada Health Care and Pharmacy was involved in the free health tests, the Head of Medical Unit, Rosemary Onemolease, said their target was to ensure that no fewer than 250 people were attended to during the exercise.
She explained that “The motive of this free healthcare process is that, if we have healthier people free from illness, we will have more healthy people that would work for the development of the society.”
She said that it was part of their responsibilities to also inform the people about the status of their health, counsel them and give them vital information on the best treatment and drugs they should take.
