Nnewi—A twin three-storey hotel still under construction located within Nkwo-Eziudo Market, along Ogidi/Abatete Road in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, collapsed, Saturday, at about 2.30p.m. No life was lost.

The hotel building, according to an eyewitness, was said to have collapsed shortly after those working on it had closed for the day, since it was a Saturday, when they normally work half-day to enable those who want to travel embark on their journey.

The owner of the buildings could not be contacted, as he is said to be based overseas. But his brother, who is supervising the work, could equally not be contacted, as his phone was switched off.
