Rom. 8: 36- 37 says, “As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us”.

Brethren, as we continue on the journey to inherit the heavenly mansion which our Lord Jesus Christ has prepared for us, it is necessary that we keep our eyes on Him who is the Author and finisher of our faith, who gave us this promise and also gave up Himself to be crucified that we might be conquerors. This is because the devil like a roaring lion walks about seeking how to hinder us from obtaining the promise of making heaven at last. All the persecutions, blasphemies, blackmailing and accusations the devil and his human agents are levelling against the Church and Children of God in this End Time is nothing, but to make them abandon their faith in Christ and in consequence scuttle their chances of making heaven at last.

Absolutely, Satan the devil has been defeated many years ago and remains defeated forever. So the blackmailing and persecutions which we undergo everyday can never scuttle our already secured victory gotten for us by our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, we are conquerors regardless of the tribulations, persecutions and trails we face in our day to day activities, including the accusation of the devil and his human agents against us. For we know that the whole design of the devil and his agents is to devour and destroy our souls through accusation and persecution.

Thus, we need not fear their accusation and persecution or allow it to destroy our avowed decision to spread the gospel across the states and nations, for God has been with us and will continue to be on our side. Those whom God is for, and on whose side He is, need not fear false accusation, and blackmailing, regardless of how many or mighty they may be. God has chosen us and there is nothing we can do on our own nor could any other person change the divine status quo. It is not our fault that we have been chosen to be a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people, that we may show forth the praises of him who has called us out of darkness into His marvellous light. (1Pt 2: 9).

We are the chosen generation, separated to worship the one and only true God, and abstain from the abominations that are in the world. We are called to the state of salvation out of darkness, out of idolatry, superstition, and ungodliness, into His marvellous light and mercy. Who then can afford to be against us successfully and escape the wrath of God?  We should know that it is dangerous to be against those whom God is for?  If God be for us, who can be against us?

Rom.8: 31says, “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?”

What conclusion shall we therefore draw from the above premise? The assertion is that God has called us all to holiness, and to love Him, which is the principle of holiness. We may be persecuted, accused, despised and even be derided, but, as God has called us to change the philosophy of the people of the world from carnality to spirituality, from loving the thing of the world that perishes to embracing godliness and holiness, we should therefore, endure persecution and even rejoice in been blackmailed, for, all things work together for good to them that love Him who He has chosen.

If God be for us, who can be against us? He who is infinitely wise has undertaken to direct us, protect us, save and bless us. What kind of accusation, craftiness, or malice, can prevail against this infinite God who has the overall power, wisdom and goodness to protect us?  Therefore we are very sure, we are conquerors. Even their accusations and charges work together for our good, as it helps to spread more of the gospel of Christ and depopulate the kingdom of darkness.

Beloved, nobody can by accusation or blackmail stop the work of God. For, “The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit” (Jn 3: 8). The thing of the Spirit is like the effects of the wind.  You see it not, you cannot discern its laws, but you see its effects, and you know therefore that it does exist and operate. The wind blows in a variety of directions, we hear its sound, perceive its operation in the motion of the trees and feel it on ourselves, but we cannot discern the air itself; we only know that it exists by the effects which it produces. So also is the Church which its operation is guided and dictated by the Holy Spirit.

Sinners may be against us, so also haters of righteousness, agents of devil, blackmailers, including the devil the great enemy of our souls, but one thing is sure, their power to destroy us has since been taken away. God who called us, is mightier than all our foes, He can defend us. And if God is determined to save us, and cause all things to work together for our good, who can be against us? Who can hinder our salvation, or do us any real harm?

We are aware that the ground of their hatred is based on the fact that God is for us and this is our privilege. God has not only chosen us, but is in covenant with us.  All that He is, and has, and does, is for the Chosen people. He performs all things for us. Even when He seems to act against us, He is for us. And, if so, who can be against us, so as to prevail against us, so as to hinder our happiness, so as to stop the work of God? The fact is that our calling defies all the powers of darkness.

So, let Satan does his worst, it shall be in vain, for he is already chained and defeated; let the world do its worst, it is conquered, for principalities and powers are already spoiled and disarmed on the cross of Calvary by our Master Jesus Christ. Who then dares fight against us, while God himself is fighting for us? And this is what we can say to these things, if God has made us His chosen generation, who can be against us. If God has made us His peculiar people, who is it that can annul it. If God has given us a mandate to cause revival all over the world, who is it that can stand against it? If He has chosen us, why can’t we magnify Him? If we do not magnify the Lord we are of all men most miserable. We cannot be honest to Christ except we are bold for Him in evangelism, so we are gallant in His Vineyard and are radical for Jesus.

What can devil do against us, He can do nothing more than God permits him, because at the very uttermost, he can only kill the body, but he has no more that he can do. God has purposed to bless us and the whole race of mankind cannot thwart the divine purpose. We are indeed conquerors.
