A Lagos housewife, Mrs. Remi-Louis Abolore, has been arraigned before a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, on a nine-count charge bordering on forgery, fraud and stealing.
Abolore was arraigned before Justice Sule Hassan led-court by men of Zone 2 Nigeria Police Force, Onikan, Lagos.
In the charge, the police alleged that the mother of three, in November 23, 2012, forged a document which she used to present herself as Managing Director of Vic-M-Vic Services Limited and also made a false document in writing with the signatures of her three under-aged children, with an intent to use the said document to induce public officers to act upon them.
The police further alleged that the accused fraudulently stole original Certificate of Incorporation, Memorandum of Association and Article of Association of Vic-M-Vic Services Limited, and Certified True Copy of Form CAC7, Original Copies of Acceptance Form and Acknowledgment form Trade Mark, Original copy of Board resolution dated February 13, 2008, of Skin Speakers Cosmetics, without the companies’ authority.
The accused was further alleged to have fraudulently stolen Vic-M-Vic Services Limited’s cheque books, which she used in withdrawing N300,000.
She was also alleged to have stolen original Deed of Contract dated June 4, 2009, for 12 plots of land at Alasia village, Eti-Osa Local Government Area, valued N6.5 million, which was between Vic-M-Vic Services Limited and Rawak Properties Limited.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to all the counts.
The trial judge, Justice Sule Hassan, ordered that the accused be remanded in prison custody and adjourned the matter till February 13, for trial.
