THE Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce, NBCC, has disclosed that it is set to celebrate its 40th anniversary in Nigeria and United Kingdom, with the launch of MSMEs Centre.
The president of NBCC, Prince Dapo Adelegan, who disclosed this at a press briefing in Lagos said that the Chamber will be launching the NBCC -DCSL MSMEs Centre at DCSL Corporate Services Limited.
This, he said is in recognition of a partnership between the Chamber and DCSL taking into cognizance the pivotal role MSMEs play in modern economies especially in areas of job creation and contribution to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
He stated that other activities lined up to mark the event are Lecture and Photo/Arts Exhibition which would also include a documentary of milestones covered in the past 40 years, Cocktail & launch of the NBCC Abuja branch in March, the NBCC Golf Tournament in April, Gala Dinner and Dance/ Patrons’ Investiture First week in June; anniversary visits to selected States and Trade Mission to the UK 22nd – 26th May, 2017, etc.
“Let me give you a brief update on where we are today. The NBCC over the couple of months has made fantastic stride in the area of Policy Dialogue, Advocacy, Networking and Business Referrals even with the Country’s current economic state with the aim of garnering business sustainability in different sector of the economy,” he said.
