Gunmen abduct Delta NUT Treasurer

TREASURER of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT, Delta State wing, Mr. Titus Okotie, was yesterday, kidnapped by unknown gunmen between Kwale and Ozoro axis of the Ughelli-Asaba expressway.

Okotie who is vying for the state chairmanship position in the union’s election billed for July, 2017, Saturday Vanguard gathered, was returning from Asaba to Ughelli with his daughter at about 8 am when they were intercepted by the hoodlums along the busy road.

Though details of the incident were sketchy as at press time, sources said the kidnappers dragged Okotie from his vehicle at gun point, forced him into their vehicle and sped off to an unknown destination.

The kidnappers, it was learned however, abandoned Okotie’s daughter and his vehicle on the road side. As at the time of filing this report, the kidnappers were yet to establish contact with their victim’s family.
