ABBI—The people of Abbi Community in Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta State have expressed their gratitude to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for awarding the contract for the construction of Abbi/Ezionum Road.

This expression was made by the Abbi Stakeholders Forum (ASF), through its Chairman, Chief Neku Opute, who  noted that the Abbi/Ezionum road when completed, will not only connect Ndokwa-West with Ukwuani LGA, but also promote commercial and business activities among the neighbouring communities, thereby alleviating poverty.

The chairman further observed that while all four major roads leading to Abbi had already been tarred and stopped at neighbouring communities few kilometers to Abbi, the said road project had remained neglected for years, as there had been no cash backing to commence execution, despite its inclusion in past state government budgets, “The Abbi Community is sincerely grateful to Governor Okowa for awarding the contract for the construction of Abbi/Ezionum Road. We thank him for this one he has done and pray that God will grant him wisdom and determination to achieve his development agenda for the betterment of all Deltans,” the chairman said.
