…says Nigerians are suffering

Veteran entertainer Charles Oputa popularlly called ‘Charly Boy’ has vowed to continue with the nation wide protests against unfavorable government policies.
The protest holds today in Lagos at about 9am.
Thousands of protesters under the aegis of #IStandwithNigeria protest had gathered across the country on Monday to protest what they described as anti-government policies.
Among them were notable human right activists including the Co-convener of the Bring Back Our Girls campaign (BBOG), Mrs Aisha Yusuf.
In a statement yesterday, charly Boy said the protest aimed at identifying with the masses.
According to him, the protest taking place at office of the Nigeria Labour Congress NLC, Yaba, is in collaboration with labour union and Trade Union Congress TUC.
The singer said he was embarking on the protest to identify with the frustration by many Nigerians.
The statement reads, “My people, in furtherance to the #IStandwithNigeria protest, that took place nationwide on Monday, I will be collaborating with the Nigeria Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress to protest tomorrow Thursday by 9am at NLC office, yaba, Lagos. ‘E go nice if una show.
This is a protest for all Nigerians and must be owned by the masses. We will troop out enmasse to protest the state of the nation, demanding for efficient and effective anti-corruption fight and governance. #OurMumuDondo. Am pitching tent with the masses,”
