CATHOLIC Archbishop of Lagos, Most Rev. Alfred Adewale Martins, yesterday, frowned at the declining state of the nation’s economy, calling on government at all levels to intensify efforts to make life better for the masses whom they have been elected to serve.
Arguing that the gap between the rich and the poor in Nigeria was widening by the day, the cleric urged Nigerians to pray for the restoration of peace in the country.
He spoke during the commissioning of Olowokere Street Road project which was constructed by Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Jakande Estate, Oke-Afa, Lagos.
