Oghara – Locals, today, rescued two women when a Sport Utility Vehicle, on the ever busy Warri – Benin expressway rammed into a Jetta Car, plunging it into the Oghara river.
The Jetta Car, according to eye witness, was a commercial vehicle, said to be on his way to Oghara in Ethiope West local government area of Delta State and was approaching the bridge when the accident occurred.
Details of the incident were still sketchy at press time, but it was gathered that the rescued women were rushed to the Delta State University Teaching Hospital, Oghara, where they are responding to treatment, while efforts are been made to rescue the other occupants of the Jetta car.
The bad spot on the road, close to the bridge, locals said, has resulted into accidents leading to lost of lives that has become a common occurrence on the road and attributed the accident as a result of the Jetta car trying to avoid the pot hole.
