On the Inter-Denominational Service, Apostle Bamgbola said: “This has been a major annual event of CAN for several years. Once in a year the entire body of Christ under the umbrella of Christian Association of Nigeria in Lagos State, comes together, usually in the month of February to have a solemn assembly before the Lord. The entire five blocs of CAN come together physically as one body, to worship and praise Jesus in thanksgiving.

“It is a time to specially thank God, for the prosperity of Lagos Sate, our own Jerusalem. We also take time to pray for our dear nation, Nigeria. This year’s IDDS is particularly noteworthy and historic. Our beloved executive governor, the first Christian governor will be our special guest of honour,” he said.

The clerics also said members of CAN in the state and at the national levels are praying for speedy recovery of Mr. President’s health adding that the President still has lots of work to do.

The state secretary of CAN, Dr. Israel Akinadewo on his part urged all denominations and church leaders to “fully participate in the unique prayer and thanksgiving service.”
