AFCON 2017: Total sponsors 14 Nigerians to watch final

TRUE to its promise, Total Nigeria has  taken fourteen lucky customers to Gabon to watch the final match of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations between Egypt and Cameroon coming up today in Libreville.

The beneficiaries were presented with their flight tickets at the Church Gate Street secretariat of Total Nigeria on Friday and departed the country Saturday morning for Libreville.

The General Manager-Sales and Marketing-Mrs. Adesua Adewole  explained that an automated draw was conducted on the 25th of January, in the presence of the regulatory bodies and 14 lucky customers were randomly selected to win an all expense paid trip to Libreville, Gabon.

“The 14 lucky winners spanned from several cities in Nigeria including Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Benin and Kaduna. These winners departed Lagos, Nigeria on the 4th of February to experience the final match of the TOTAL AFCON 2017 live,” she said.

Speaking earlier, MD Total Nigeria, Jean-Philipe Torres explain why the company embarked on the sponsorship. “It is common knowledge that the Confederation of African Football, CAF and Total have entered into a partnership that will see Total as title sponsors of CAF’s 10 principal tournaments for the next 8 years, beginning from the ongoing AFCON in Gabon. In this country, football is a unifying platform which breaks all barriers. Football is a universal language.

“Total has been in Africa for 80 years and in Nigeria we have been here for 60.years. Even when the Super Eagles are absent in Gabon, knowing that Nigerians are so passionate about football.”
