BENIN—AHEAD of the January 28, 2016 date announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for the conduct of the by-election for Etsako federal constituency of Edo State, eldest son of the immediate past governor of Edo State, Dr Cyril Oshiomhole, yesterday suspended his ambition for the vacant seat and backed the aspiration of Mr Johnson Oghuma as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Oshiomhole Jr cited pressure from his father, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and the leadership of the party in Edo North, for the suspension of his ambition since the party had zoned the position to Etsako Central while he is from Etsako West.
