…as VC warns against social vices

ABRAKA—NO fewer than 6,045 students have been offered provisional admission into various departments of Delta State University, DELSU, Abraka, out of the 17,844 students who participated in the Post-UTME screening exercise of the institution.

Disclosing this, weekend, at Abraka during the matriculation ceremony for the 2016/2017 academic session, Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Victor Peretomode, also hinted that 230 candidates were offered admission into diploma programmes of the university.

In his address, Prof. Peretomode warned that any student involved in cultism, examination malpractices and other anti-social vices would be thrown out, stressing that the matriculation ceremony was a universal academic tradition and a requirement in higher institutions.
