*As investigative panel invites memoranda from public

UYO—Nigeria Governors Forum, NGF, led by its Chairman and governor of Zamfara State, Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari, yesterday, commiserated with Governor Udom Emmanuel and people of Akwa Ibom State over the tragic incident of a collapsed church building at Reigners Bible Church in Uyo.

Abubakar, who was accompanied by governors of Sokoto State, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal and his Kebbi State counterpart, Alhaji Abubakar Bagudu, visited Governor Emmanuel at his country home in Awa Iman, Onna Local Government Area of the state.

Meanwhile, the commission of inquiry set up to investigate the incident of the collapsed building at Reigners Bible Church in Uyo, has called on the members of the public to submit their memoranda to the committee.

A statement by the Secretary to the Commission, Emem Daniel, said the writers should state their full names, contact addresses, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses.

“All the memoranda should be submitted in 10 copies to the committee within 7 days from Thursday last week, to “The Secretary, Commission of Inquiry, Collapsed Church Building, Room 40, Ministry of Justice, Idongesit Nkanga Secretariat, Uyo,” he said.

Governor Yari during the condolence visit said that, the forum decided to use the occasion of the yuletide to share in the grief and to console the governor and the families of the victims of the incident.

He said that the Governors Forum was a family united by love, adding that whatever affected a member affected all.
