PORT HARCOURT – A tanker conveying adulterated petroleum product has exploded in Eleme local government area, killing two persons and setting two filling stations ablaze.

An eye witness told the Vanguard that the driver and the conductor of the trailer were consumed in the explosion, adding that it occurred in the early hours of Tuesday.

The source also said about ten vehicles were consumed in the raging inferno.

Public relations officer, Federal Road Safety Corps, Rivers state, Mr John Michael affirmed the ugly development , blaming over speeding for it.
