Tributes have continued to pour in the home of one of Nigerian foremost novelist and one time Registrar, West Africa Examination Council, WAEC, Prof Vincent Chukwuemeka Ike who lost his only son and heir apparent , Prince Osita Ike to asthma attack on December, 17th 2017.
Recall that Prof Ike who spoke on the state of Biafra when the duo of Vanguard, Emeka Mamah and Vincent Ujumadu, interviewed him was recently crowned the traditional ruler of Ndikelionwu in Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State .
Among the sympathisers were the national president, Association of Nigerian Authors, Mr Abdullahi Denja who described Prince Ike’s death as a sad news.
“We were together last Thursday in Lagos at the Nigeria Book Trust AGM which held at Excellence Hotel Ogba. May God give Prof Chukwuemeka Ike, the great novelist, and family the fortitude to bear this painful loss.” added ANA national president.
Suni Irabor , Managing Director, Ruyi Communications Ltd, and former Chief Executive Officer, Inspiration FM 92.3 said that he would miss the ever so bubbly, humorous and humane Prince. His words, “Why now? The Lord knows best. Only a few days ago I was looking through the album of pictures celebrating your royal father’s, Huh Chukwuemeka Ike’s visit to Inspiration 92.3fm as guest of Soni Irabor Live in 2014.
