NASARAWA- Tension mounts in the Nasarawa State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as the former Secretary to State Government, Chief Philip Dada, the former Commissioner for Cultural and Tourism Hon Dauda Esu and one time Permanent Secretary in Nasarawa State, Mr Silas Dako dumped PDP to join forces with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to actualize the change slogan of the president Muhammadu Buhari led administration.
Speaking to journalists in Karu on behalf of other decampees, Chief Philip Dada stressed that their desire to defect to APC in Nasarawa State is to maintain their political prestige and gain access to contribute meaningfully to the leadership of Tanko Al-Makura and President Muhammadu Buhari administration.
According to the decampees, Tanko Almakura is doing tremendously well and want to be part of the change.
The former SSG slammed PDP describing the party as a body of politicians that has lost its sense of direction and focus which is not a platform that anybody can contributes meaningfully and bring development to his community.
While urging the APC members to consider their defection as a family and not a threat or a means of competing for positions but to join hands with them for developmentof the state in particular and the nation at large.
He told other PDP members to be wise hence the party position now is more of a sinking ship.
Others who also decamp included former PDP chairman Karu Local Government Alh. Sergeant Kunu and former Councilor Kabusu ward Hon Ayuba Dakwoyi Yamusa among others.
Receiving the decampees on behalf of the state chairman of of APC Mr Philip Tatari expressed delight over the decision taking by the people who feel there is need for them to join their brothers and sisters in APC to actualize their political dream
