President Muhammadu Buhari has said that one of the important time for him anytime he is out of the country on foreign trips was the time he spent meeting Nigerians diaspora.

Speaking on his twitter handle the President said ”One highlight of foreign trips is the time I spend meeting the Nigerian diaspora. Today in Dakar I met a group based in Senegal & C/d’Ivoire”

Buhari at a meeting with a group of Nigerians in the Diaspora, on the margins of the 3rd Dakar International Forum on Peace and Security in Africa on Tuesday in Dakar, called on the Nigerian elite to stop insisting that things should be done the ‘old way’, which impoverished the nation.

Speaking the President said his administration is on the right track to improve the image of the country by entrenching accountability and probity in governance.

“Nigerians are known for their competitiveness and I am very passionate about Nigeria. I will continue to preach good neighbourliness and work hard to improve the numerous human and material resources in the country,’’ he said.
